What does this site do?
USA Field Hockey is very excited to exclusively offer our athlete members over the age of
13 a direct link to the colleges and universities in the USA which offer field hockey programs.
Is TalentLink secure?
The TalentLink database is hosted on a secure server to protect your information. Only three
registered personnel per intercollegiate field hockey program are granted access to TalentLink
through the password-protected site.
What happens if I forget my password?
If you forget your password you should contact USA Field Hockey support desk for assistance

Athlete / Parents
What does it cost for a year's subscription?
As long as you are a member of USA Field Hockey 13 years old or older you will have a basic
automatic listing; however, you will not be able to search the collegiate data base yourself.
A full subscription allows you to access the advanced features of
TalentLink and provides the ability to post additional information to your player profile,
and to use the college search engine. The price of a full subscription is $155.00.
What is a player profile?
Student-athletes are often asked by coaches to complete Players Profile forms to provide
the coach detailed information on each athlete. The online player profile provides information
frequently requested by college coaches. The player profiles give the coach all the additional
information needed to assist the coach in linking the best talent to their institution. Only
subscribing athletes may complete player profiles.
Can I register for any other sports?
TalentLink does not seek to link athletes in sports other than field hockey. TalentLink
is a specialized program for the sport of field hockey and provides college-bound athletes
the most complete access to college programs while assisting college coaches in linking with
athletes desiring to play collegiate field hockey.
What makes this service so special for the field hockey player?
TalentLink is the only online athlete / college coach service available directly from USA
Field Hockey - the National Governing Body for the sport of field hockey in the United States.
It is designed to assist USA Field Hockey members and to LINK athletic TALENT to collegiate
programs.
Can I contact the individual colleges through TalentLink?
TalentLink allows subscribing members to submit their profile information directly to selected
college field hockey programs.
What college profile characteristics can be searched?
TalentLink allows prospective student-athletes the opportunity to search for colleges that
best fit their playing and educational needs. Users may search by school, location,
NCAA Division, or conference. The school profile includes other information.
I have purchased a year subscription. What happens to my account when the year ends?
TalentLink subscriptions are valid for one year from purchase. At the end of your sign-up year,
you must renew your subscription to continue using TalentLink.
Coaches
What athlete profile characteristics can be searched?
The athlete search tools include name, state, high school, graduation year, SAT
scores, and class rank. Additional information can be found on the athlete's individual profiles.
How do I save the results of my search?
You can save searches in order to run them later, and you can save individual athletes
to your personal list of prospects.
How do coaches get registered?
Each of the schools supporting field hockey program is automatically listed with basic
information. Coaches must be members of USA Field Hockey to register. Free subscriptions
to TalentLink are available through 2006.
How many coaches on staff can register for TalentLink.
Three coaches from each institution can register. Each coach will enter through a
password protected process.
I am having difficulty creating our school profile - what can I do?

How to I search for athletes?
Searches for athletes can be made by querying any of the listed fields. You can search by
name, state, SAT score, class rank, graduation year, etc.
Does registering with Talent Link violate NCAA regulations?
TalentLink does not violate any NCAA regulation; however, USA Field Hockey always suggest
you contact your compliance person for additional assistance.
I want to update my school profile, how do I go about doing this?
At any time you may enter your school profile and change it.
What guarantees do I have that all the information the athletes provide is accurate and truthful
Information posted to an athlete's profile comes directly from the athlete, and as such, there
are no guarantees that the information is entirely precise and correct. To use TalentLink,
athletes agree to a condition of use stating the information submitted is accurate.
